I’m thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news. I’ve been named as a finalist for the ‘Tech Entrepreneur’ award at the Midlands Women in Tech Awards 2023. It’s an immense honour to be recognised among such a remarkable group of women who are making waves in the tech industry.
The event not only celebrates the achievements of women in technology, but also shines the spotlight on the potential that exists for women to excel in this ever-evolving field.
As one of the founders of Natural HR, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of technology in shaping the workplace, and it’s a privilege to be part of an event that encourages more women to embrace tech careers.
In a world where women still represent only 17% of technology professionals in the UK, and where a mere 3% of young women consider technology as their first career choice, celebrating women in tech is not just important; it’s imperative. These awards play a crucial role in inspiring the next generation of women to explore technology as a viable and fulfilling career path.
I’d like to echo Anita Chumber, co-founder of BEvents when she emphasised the significance of these awards, saying, “There has never been such an important time for more women to be involved in technology.” The digital tech sector is booming, and it’s vital that women play a pivotal role in driving innovation and growth.
Deborah Leary, the CEO, and Founder of Forensic Pathways, will be heading the judging panel and hosting the ceremony. Her leadership reinforces our commitment to recognising and celebrating the accomplishments of women in technology.
The voting for the Midlands Women in Tech Awards 2023 is open, and your support means the world to me. I am deeply grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to inspire other women to pursue tech careers. Together, let’s continue to champion diversity and excellence in the tech industry.
