I recently had the honour of being named a finalist for the ‘Tech Entrepreneur’ award at the Midlands Women in Tech Awards 2023. While I didn’t take home the top prize, the experience left me with gratitude, reflection, and inspiration.
The Power of Recognition
Being recognised among a group of remarkable women making waves in the tech industry is an achievement in itself. The awards are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovation that women bring to a field that has traditionally been male-dominated.
The Midlands Women in Tech Awards celebrate the achievements of women in technology. The awards shine a spotlight on the immense potential for women to excel in this ever-evolving field. As one of the founders of Natural HR, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of technology in shaping the workplace. It was a privilege to be part of an event that encourages more women to embrace tech careers.
A Moment of Reflection
Attending the awards ceremony was a fantastic opportunity to step back and reflect on my own journey. As entrepreneurs, we often become so focused on our work that we forget to take a moment to appreciate our achievements. The evening provided a chance to pause and reflect on what I’d accomplished. 2023 was the year I had worked towards for over a decade after Natural HR was acquired in March. I’ve had a busy six months working within the business post-acquisition, so it was a well needed night out. I received many congratulations on the exit! It was also incredibly rewarding to watch the next generation of women in tech take the stage.
Congratulations to all finalists and winners!
